Our Wycliffe Ministry
Noah and Vicki Lynn are excited to help train local translators in Papua New Guinea. PNG is the most language-diverse country in the world, boasting over 800 indigenous languages - most of which do not have a Bible yet! Please pray for the work and the workers there and for God's Word to change many lives. God has gifted and prepared the Smiths for this task. He has given them a clear calling and good education. They enjoyed living in a remote village in Solomon Islands, where they became part of the Birao community and worked on the many aspects of Bible translation with them. Noah and Vicki Lynn bring a deep love for God's Word and for all people. They love helping build God's church by providing Scripture access and understanding. Please pray for Noah, Vicki Lynn, Teddy, and Emma Jane as they learn new cultures and languages. Pray that they would be highly effective as they follow God's direction for their ministry. Please send them your questions and encouragement and consider donating to their Wycliffe ministry.
Bible translation
brings the WORD OF GOD into a culture ready to reflect Him
Imagine a day when all the nations worship.
The Bible is more than just words on a page; it’s the living Word of God that has the power to capture hearts and transform lives forever. You can be a part of seeing the Bible — the greatest story ever told — go out in all languages so that all people can worship God.
The Gospel is like water for our weary souls, but how easy it is to get…
Many people who have little access to God's Word thirst to know Him! Yet their experience of trying to drink in the refreshing truth of the Gospel is like drinking warm water from a tiny bottle cap - tedious. That is because their only access is through their third language, a language they barely know and is always foreign. They have no one in their context to help them much. Getting a Bible in their second language is like a cup of room temp water - they understand it much better, and it doesn't seem so foreign. Getting the Bible in their own language is like a cool spring - an endless supply of spiritual refreshment - God speaking to them in their own language!
